Our nickel based catalysts were optimized to selectively change the properties such as oxidation stability and melting behavior of your vegetable oils. Each product has been specially developed to optimize the activity, selectivity and filtration properties to fit your type of feedstock and process.
Nysosel® 800
IQatalyst’s Nysosel® 800 is applicable in the hydrogenation of a wide variety of edible oil feedstocks. It combines high activity with good selectivity and filterability. It is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil.
Nysosel® 810
IQatalyst’s Nysosel® 810 is applicable in the hydrogenation of a wide variety of edible oil feedstocks. It combines high activity with good selectivity and filterability. It is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil.
Nysosel® 820
IQatalyst’s Nysosel® 820 is applicable in the hydrogenation of a wide variety of edible oil feedstocks. It combines superior activity with good selectivity and filterability. It is extremely resistant to catalyst poisons. It is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil.
Nysosel® 880
IQatalyst’s Nysosel® 880 is a low nickel catalyst applicable in the hydrogenation of a wide variety of edible oils. It combines superior activity with good filterability. It is extremely active and can be used for hydrogenations at lower temperatures. It is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil. Nysosel® 880 is applied as catalyst in the full or partial hydrogenation of edible oils. Various vegetable and marine feedstocks can be hydrogenated to products applied in the manufacture of salad and cooking oils, margarines and shortenings.
Our nickel based catalysts were optimized to fully hydrogenate fatty acids of animal, marine or vegetable origin. The catalysts are robust and are especially suited for fatty acid hydrogenations carried out at conditions that cause deactivation by the formation of nickel soaps such as high temperatures (>200◦C) and low pressure. Our catalysts enable hydrogenation to very low iodine values.
Nysofact® 117
IQatalyst’s Nysofact® 117 is a highly effective catalyst for the hydrogenation of fatty acids to very low iodine values. Nysofact® 117 shows optimal suppression of nickel soaps formation and has excellent filtration characteristics. Nysofact® 117 is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil.
Nysofact® 120
IQatalyst’s Nysofact® 120 is a highly effective catalyst for the hydrogenation of fatty acids to very low iodine values. Nysofact® 120 shows optimal suppression of nickel soaps, is very poison resistant and has excellent filtration characteristics. Nysofact® 120 is sold reduced and protected in fully hardened vegetable oil.

Depending on the reaction conditions applied, both primary as well as higher alkyl amines can be obtained. IQatalyst’s Nysofact® 237 is a highly effective catalyst for the hydrogenation of fatty nitriles to fatty amines. It can be steered towards the production of saturated as well as unsaturated fatty amines. Nysofact® 237 is sold reduced and protected in waxy secondary amine droplets.
E 480 P RS
IQatalyst product E 480 P RS is a versatile 65% nickel powder catalyst on a proprietary support. The catalyst is sold in reduced-CO2-stabilized form. E 480 P RS is applied in the production of fatty amines from nitriles due to its high selectivity and good filtration characteristics. It is also used in the hydrogenation of aromatics and olefins as well as in the reduction of carbonyls and nitro groups.
IQatalyst provides well developed catalysts designed for the slurry phase hydrogenation of C9 and DCPD petroleum resins. The hydrogenation makes resins water white in color and improves the long term stability. All products have high activity and good filterability. For the superior hydrogenation activity and the lowest cracking behavior, Ni5386P is the catalyst of choice. Ni5338P has good hydrogenation activity and outstanding color removal behavior. Ni5249P provides optimized filtration.
